Concerned Young Women Branch was formed in 1993 to meet the needs of young women. The majority of members are in their 20s and 30s.
We meet for social and philanthropic events generally on the first Wednesday of every month.
Together, we have fun while making a difference in our community and the world!
WHAT WE'RE ABOUT: Take a Stand. Hands on work in the community is a major part of who we are. We strive to improve the lives of children, the elderly, women suffering from domestic violence and others in need. One of the ways we do this is through one-time and on-going community service projects.
Taking a stand on public policy and legislative issues that affect women, children and families is the heart of NCJW's work. As a nonpartisan advocacy organization, NCJW educates and mobilizes individuals and communities to become a vital force for action on the local, state, national, and international levels. Advocacy is all about action. Make the most of the opportunity.
NCJW PRIORITIES: Advance the well-being and status of women Advance the well-being of children and families Enhance the quality of Jewish life Ensure and advance individual and civil rights Support a secure Israel and the well-being Contact Info Email: concernedyoungwomen@yahoo.com Website: www.ncjwhouston.

Shoot some hoops with the guys! They all meet up and play the game with a referee and all!
Here is how it works with cost…
The JCC offers a “basketball membership”
This only commits the player to one 3-month season. The membership is good for the 3 month league and includes the league fee. The basketball membership cost $150 for the season. $95 league fee and $55 membership fee.
If you are already a JCC member, the league fee is: $65 – Health center member - $75 – JCC Member.
There is a draft system, so each player enters as an individual and not as a team. It runs about four seasons a year, each about 12 weeks long. Games are for the most part on Monday evenings 7, 8, & 9. Participants need to have some sort of membership to play and seasonal basketball memberships are available. We are currently in our fall season with the winter season scheduled to begin on Monday, January 21.
